A right royal day

We've had a busy week- some assessments done and completed, a few to come later in the month. The children have all worked really hard, giving their tests their full focus. well done to all the children.
Tri golf was a brilliant experience for some of our year group this week- please see the school newsletter for more detail.

Today we joined in the national celebrations of the Queen's official 90th birthday. Dressed in red, white and blue, we designed birthday cards for the queen, learning how we would need to address the card when we wrote our message. Ask your children if they can remember the formal way to address Her Majesty.
An extended lunch hour followed with an extended lunch of cakes and treats. Then we spent a very pleasant afternoon out in the glorious sunshine playing some games with years 3 and 5 before watching a live broadcast streamed from Windsor Castle where a schools' tea party was taking place. We learnt some interesting facts about the queen's life.

Here are some pictures of us enjoying games including: capture the flag; duck, duck, goose; seaweed, crabs and sharks as well as keepers of the keys.
